Together with mandatory items, feature users of Smart Checklist for Jira. Pro version could configure and use the Mandatory items completed validator. It will help to prevent the Jira issue from transition to the next state if not all Smart Checklist mandatory items are checked/completed. That's possible by adding a corresponding validator to your workflow transition.
