Overview

We’ve introduced visual enhancements to Smart Issue Hierarchy for Jira, improving how issue structures and progress are displayed. These updates offer better visibility of issue statuses, checklist progress, and overall hierarchy health, helping users manage tasks more effectively.

• NEW Sum-ups for Issue Hierarchy – A new summary section at the top of the hierarchy displays:

  • Progress bar showing overall issue completion

  • Total number of issues with assigned user avatars

  • Sum of story points per issue status: TO DO, IN PROGRESS and DONE.

  • Aggregated Smart Checklist progress and total checklist items

  • Expand/collapse all checklists in the hierarchy for better visibility

1. Issues Done Progress

Progress Bar for To-Do, In-Progress, and Done tasks:
The progress bar now displays the percentage of issues in the "To Do," "In Progress," and "Done" statuses. This bar provides a visual snapshot of overall progress across the hierarchy, with the percentage of items marked as "Done" also shown.

2. Total Number of Issues, Assigned People, and Story Points

This section shows:

• Total number of issues in the hierarchy

• Avatars of assigned people

• Total story points per issue status (To Do, In Progress, Done)

3. Smart Checklist Items Progress

Progress Bar and Percentage: A progress bar for checklist items is now visible at the top of the hierarchy, showing the overall completion percentage of checklist items across all issues. The total number of checklist items and completed ones are also displayed.

Expand/Collapse Functionality: This feature allows users to expand or collapse all checklists in the hierarchy, making it easier to navigate large projects and get a quick overview of checklist progress.
