JCMA tool for checklist data migration from Server/Data Center to Cloud instance

Given Atlassian announced the termination of Server add-ons support, Smart Checklist is now presenting a new smooth Server/Data Center to Cloud migration with a JCMA tool to support our customers who want to migrate. Read more in our new article here.

Allow multiple templates as default for a single issue type

Starting from 2.5.33-AC version, Smart Checklist allows setting more than one template as default for the same issue type.

Previously, you had to choose only one template to apply to Issue creation. This did not cover more complex use cases of our customers. So now here’s what you can do.

Let’s imagine your team usually uses a “Definition of Done” template for an Issue type Task. That worked well but now your tasks expand and you need to make a number of double-checks at the end which is all gathered in the “Finalizing” template.

So now all you need to do is set both the “Definition of Done” template and the “Finalizing” template as default for the Issue type Task.

The templates will be applied in a consecutive manner: templates assigned to “All issue types” and then templates assigned to this particular issue type (i.e. Story).

Read more here about the steps and possible cases to use this feature.

You can set as many templates default as needed for one Issue type.

Synchronize data

Smart Checklist can store the data in Smart Checklist custom fields, issue properties, and the Smart Checklist database. Under normal circumstances, the data is consistent, but in some cases, like migration between app versions or Jira instances, the data might get corrupted or out of sync. The synchronization feature ensures that Smart Checklist data is up to date and consistent in all three storages. Read more about this feature in our new article.
