Basic Setup

Install Smart Checklist for Jira Plugin 

1. Go to the add-ons section of your Jira instance

2. Find "Smart Checklist" and click Install

3. Go to Manage add-ons and check if it's installed right

Configure your Jira instance

Since version 5.0.0 no additional configuration is needed to start using Smart Checklist add on.

However, you may want to manage the add-on visibility on your Jira Projects. Once Smart Checklist is installed, it is available on your Projects by default. If you want to disable the plugin for some projects, follow these steps.

Add a checklist to a Jira ticket

1. Go to a Jira ticket

   1. Use the input box to add items quickly OR

   2. Open Smart Checklist Editor for a more extended experience

      1. Create your first simple checklist 

         # My first checklist - ToDo item ~ In Progress item + Done item x Skipped item > additional instructions and guides

2. Here you go! Now it's rendered in your Jira ticket
