Use Smart Checklist Templates in Jira Automation by referring to them by their IDs 🚀

Template IDs

Each template (Global or Project) has its own ID in the template list. Use it in order to operate with Smart Checklist Template in Jira Automation ⚡️

☝🏼 NOTE: Only Project Templates can be referred to in automations. Referring Global Templates by ID is not available yet.

You can find the Template ID from the Issue view or from Project Settings.

To get Template ID from Issue view:

  1. Open any Issue with the Smart Checklist applied.

  2. Click on the 3-dots menu.

  3. Select Manage templates/Import from a template.

  4. Expand the template you are looking for.

  5. Template ID field is on the right of the template name.

 

To get template ID from Project Settings:

  1. Navigate to Project settings → Apps → Smart Checklist → Templates tab.

  2. Expand the template you are looking for.

  3. Template ID field is on the right of the template name.
