Mandatory items

Starting from version 6.7.1 the functionality of making items mandatory/non-mandatory is available 🚀

If you use Jira permissions: grant users Edit Issues (for Company-managed projects) permissions to work with mandatory items.

If you use Smart Checklist permissions: grant users Manage Smart Checklist Items permission to work with mandatory items.

More about permissions here → https://railsware.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/CHKSDC/pages/3816030220

Mandatory items help to visually differentiate the items that must be completed and block transitioning a Jira issue into the following status if mandatory items are not completed. The last one will require some additional setup in your workflow.

By default, checklist items are not marked as mandatory. To make items mandatory, you can use the following:

  • context menu of checklist items;

  • full-screen editor;

  • correct format when adding an item from quick mode or updating the Checklists custom field.

Set items as mandatory by context menu of checklist items:

  1. If you want to make any of the checklist items mandatory, follow the steps below:

    1. Click on 3 dots for a checklist item and select “Make mandatory”:
