Smart Checklist is now available on Forge 🎉 This upgrade brings improved security, scalability, and deeper integration with Jira.

To ensure uninterrupted functionality, some actions are required on your end:

Custom Permissions – If you’ve set up custom permissions, you’ll need to reconfigure them.
Automation Updates – If you’re using automation with entity properties, update it to use custom fields instead.

⏳ What You Need to Know

  • Data Migration Time: Migration can take several hours or, in cases of large datasets, up to a few days. Some app features will be temporarily unavailable during this time.

  • Custom Fields: Two new fields (Checklists and Smart Checklist Progress) will be added to your Jira instance if not already present. These are required for proper functionality.

  • Uninstalling the Forge App: If you uninstall the Forge version of Smart Checklist, all checklist data will be permanently deleted.

  • JSM Header Visibility: The Smart Checklist header will always be visible in JSM tickets. Atlassian is working on a fix — check it here.

  • Link Rendering Changes: Links will display in a simplified format without icons.
