Manage project templates

The options presented below are available only for users with Project Admin permissions.

Starting from v6.5.0 users with granted custom permission “Manage Smart Checklist Templates” can manage Project Templates too (when custom permissions are toggled on). Read more https://railsware.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/CHKSDC/pages/3790503985.

However, System Admins can manage Project Templates through the admin console under Global Templates context. Read more https://railsware.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/CHKSDC/pages/2808872980.

Go to the Smart Checklist menu. Click "Manage Template" menu item.

Rename a template

  1. Go to your templates list

  2. Click on the template name to expand the details

  3. Click on the template name, rename and hit "V" to save

Edit a template

  1. Go to your templates list

  2. Click on the template name to expand the details

  3. Click on "Edit" to enter editing mode

  4. You'll see checklist representation in Markdown

  5. Make the changes and click "Save"

     

Delete a template

  1. Go to your templates list

  2. Click on the template name to expand the details

  3. See the red button "Delete" in "Danger zone"



  4. When you click "Delete" you will be asked for confirmation

Tip

Your imported checklists will be safe and template deletion will not affect any Jira Issues!

Sort Templates 

Templates are sorted alphabetically by default.  You can modify the sorting order to be ASC or DESC using the button in the top right-hand corner:
