Create project template

How to Save a checklist as a template

  1. First of all - create a proper checklist using an input box or Full-Screen Editor available by clicking a "pen" icon.

  2. Then go to Smart Checklist menu and click "Save as a Template" menu item.

     

  3. Name your Template and click "Save".

  4. A checklist is saved in Jira Project Properties.

☝🏼NOTE: Starting from v7.6.0, the Templates modal view has been slightly updated. There are now two ways to create a new template from the Issue view:

  • Save as a Template - this action has an updated interface with additional options:

    • Choose whether to make a template linked or non-linked

    • Assign a template to a category

    • Edit checklist items before saving
