Use variables inside checklists
💡HINT: More about variables → Variables
Navigate to the Template with checklist → select the “Variables” tab
Create new variable, for instance “position“
Go to the “Issues“ tab → select “Smart Checklist”
Add your variable inside double curly braces to any place in your checklist, e.g. {{position}} → save changes
Now let’s apply the template → click on the “Create Issues” button
Enter value you want to appear in the checklist instead of your variable in the appeared window → click “Confirm” button
All done, all Jira issues created from the template have received the {{position}} replaced by the value you entered on template apply. 😎
